Day 3 in Yellowknife, North West Territories
Well I am a day late for day 3, but getting into the way of life up here, meaning not to rush anything! unless it is to get on the fishing boat at the end of the day.
Today Taylor and I started our day with breakfast of champs and headed out for a great day after getting going a little slow we finally decided to go shore fishing. Thanks to Julie for packing us a kick ass lunch we loaded up 3 trucks and headed out to Madeline Lake were once again Taylor caught the first fish and the biggest fish of the day, which on these trips mean 3$ from each person Taylor made 26$ plus the 3$ from the first day because I was the only one fishing with him. After the stop we headed out to the 2nd lake (which right now the name escapes me) which once again Taylor brought in another fish. With no pay out on this fish because he already set the bar high we got in the trucks and took off to our first waterfall of the trip.
A photographers dream I headed out into the middle of the river to capture some photos of the rapids as the water crashed over the rocks and then made a 90 degrees turn in to a beautiful lake. After this we walked along a beautiful path down to Cameron Falls which is just massive, as the first of our group got there they noticed some trout trying to make there way up the falls without much luck one of our friends that came along Anthony pulled in a nice size pike just before we had to go because of the misquotes and horse flies were after us fresh meat. I have counted every bite on the places I can reach and 127 is were I stopped, but it was worth everyone of them for the photos I have to share with you.
Please enjoy and there is a great post coming for Day 4
